Ferrata del Porton

Together with the Velo via ferrata, the Porton via ferrata connects  the Pradidali Hut with the Velo della Madonna Hut. This ferrata is very well protected: despite the route is very exposed in several places its cables, the steps and metal rungs help during the trail.

The Velo via ferrata will lead you to the Forcella Porton (2460 m): a short descent on the first metal rungs and two short ladders will then take you down into a gully. Go down the gully and its steep sections, pay attention to rocks and debris; you will get then to the second stretch of ferrata, a series of traverses and vertical sections.

Continue along the via ferrata until you get to a gully, then comemup the gully to reach the  Pradidali Hut (2278 m).
